• Shawenegog Lake is located southwest of the village of Plevna Ontario in Frontenac County
• co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 54′ 37″ Long. 77° 03′ 18″
• while the lake reaches depths of 84′, the average depth is 15′
• the perimeter of the lake is 18 km (11.3 miles)
• there are lots of stumps and submerged logs, weeds, lily pad beds in the bays and back bays as well as rocky shorelines
• half a dozen streams flow into the lake and one exits via a dam on the southeast side
• Shawenegog Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
