  • Govan Lake is located within the northeast portion of North Frontenac Parklands north of the village of Ompah Ontario in Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 07′ 59″ Long. 76° 47′ 43″
  • this irregularly shaped lake has several weedy bays on the southwest and east side of the lake which provide good cover for largemouth bass and pike
  • look for walleye around main lake islands and fast breaking points. Creek inflows are also worth a try late in the day or evening
  • there are 10 public campsites around the lake
  • the lake reaches depths of 50’+
  • a public access point is located on the west end of the lake off of the Hydro Lane
  • Govan Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
