  • Fortune Lake is located along Schooner Road north of Plevna Ontario in the northern part of Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 05′ 37″ Long. 77° 01′ 35″
  • the lake has an inverted “T” shape consisting of 2 basins connected by a narrows
  • water enters the lake on the south end from Brule Lake and exits the north end flowing into Round Schooner Lake
  • the perimeter of the lake is approx. 12.8 km (8 miles)
  • while the lake reaches depths of 57′, the average depth is approx. 24′
    the near shore waters and back bays contain many submerged logs and stumps. The shallower bays are found at the south end and provide good habitat for bass and pike. The main lake drop offs offer good trolling runs for walleye
  • a public boat launch is located off of Schooner Road on the south end of the lake at Proudfoot Bay
  • Fortune Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
