Major Lake Species:  Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye

  • Fawn Lake is located northwest of Clarendon Station in Frontenac County.
  • The lake is connected to the larger Crotch Lake
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 54′ Long. 76° 51′
  • water flows from Fawn Lake into Crotch Lake via a narrows on the south end
  • the lake is part of the Mississippi River watershed
  • with the exception of the north end where the water reaches depths of 37′, overall Crotch is a shallow lake. The mid and south ends have a fair amount of weed growth as well as submerged logs and stumps.
  • Largemouth bass and pike predominate in the shallows
  • smallmouth bass and walleye can be found in the north end along drop offs, points and deeper weed beds
  • Fawn Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
  • access to the lake is via a public boat launch on the south end of Crotch Lake
