Crotch Lake is located along Ardoch Road west of Clarendon Station in Frontenac County
co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 54′ 45″ Long. 76° 48′ 34″
while most of the shoreline of this Canadian Shield Lake is crown land, there are a couple of resorts and private cottages on the south end
Crotch Lake is part of the Upper Mississippi River system. It has an irregularly shaped north and south basin connected by a narrows
there is a sanctuary area in the spring at the Sidedam Rapids on the northwest side of the lake where the Mississippi River enters. The river exits the northeast side
the perimeter of the lake is 69.7 km (43.3 miles)
while the lake reaches depth of 102′, the average depth is 27′
the lake is 12.8 km (8 miles) long and has several adjoining lakes including Big Gull and Fawn lake
a public boat launch is located on the south end off of Ardoch Road
